23 Mar A Dream Blossomed: My Dundalk Gallery & Creative Space
Ten years in the making — a space to paint, connect, and find calm through creativity.
Six months ago, I turned the key in the door of my very own gallery in Dundalk — and I still get butterflies every time I walk in. It’s hard to put into words what this space means to me.
This wasn’t a quick idea or a lucky moment — it was a ten-year dream that finally came true through passion, creativity, and a lot of late nights.
The Big News
When I started imagining this gallery, I saw more than just walls and paintings. I dreamed of creating a space filled with colour, calm, and connection — somewhere people could come to pause, pick up a paintbrush, and rediscover their own creativity.
And that’s exactly what it’s become. My Dundalk gallery is part art space, part sanctuary: a place to learn to paint, express yourself, and find mindfulness through creativity.
Opening Night
The opening night blew me away. I’ll never forget walking into the gallery and seeing so many familiar faces — customers, friends, family, and supporters who’ve been there since the very beginning.
I was truly overwhelmed by the love in the room. One of the biggest highlights of the night was seeing my mentor, Tara Pendergast from The Biscuit Community, standing right there with me. She’s been such a guiding light and cheerleader throughout this entire journey.
Couldn’t Do It Alone
Of course, none of it would have happened without my amazing husband, Fra, and our incredible kids. They helped me in every way imaginable — painting walls, lifting boxes, organising displays, and keeping me going through all those long nights leading up to the opening. I’m endlessly grateful to them for believing in this dream as much as I did.
Now, six months on, the gallery has become a living, breathing part of the community. Each week, it comes alive with colour and conversation — from creative workshops to quiet moments where people simply come to paint and recharge.
It’s become everything I hoped for and more: a home for art, mindfulness, and connection. If you’re ever in Dundalk, please pop in and say hello.
