03 Apr Art, Connection and A Cuppa

Inside My Creative Workshops
One of my absolute favourite parts of having my own gallery and studio is running my art workshops. There’s something truly special about watching people — especially those who come in saying, “I haven’t painted since school!” — pick up a brush and let themselves create again.
For me, these workshops aren’t just about painting pictures. They’re about connection — to creativity, to nature, to the earth, and most importantly, to ourselves. When we slow down and paint, something shifts. We start noticing the quiet beauty all around us — the shapes of leaves, the sound of the sea, the warmth of sunlight — and suddenly, we feel more grounded, more present, more alive.
The Final Piece
I often see people arrive feeling nervous or unsure, worried they won’t be “good enough” or that they can’t draw a straight line. But by the end of the session, there’s always that wonderful moment when they step back from their canvas and see what they’ve made — and their whole face lights up. They leave with a huge smile, a real sense of satisfaction, and often a new spark of confidence they didn’t know they had.

Smiles All Around
Come Along and Paint
I love watching creativity unfold in these spaces. It’s more than brushstrokes on paper — it’s mindfulness in motion, a celebration of slowing down and embracing the joy of making something with your own hands.
So if you’ve ever thought, “I’m not creative,” come join us. You’ll be welcomed with warmth, you’ll surprise yourself, and you’ll walk out not only with a painting, but with a smile, a lighter heart, and maybe a new friend or two. All dates for workshops are on my website.
