Blooming into 2026: A Wonderful SHOWCASE Ireland Experience
I was absolutely delighted to exhibit at SHOWCASE Ireland from January 18–20 at the RDS Dublin — and what a fantastic few days it turned out to be.
Organised by Showcase Ireland, this leading international trade event gave me the opportunity to present my collections to both new and existing stockists at the very start of 2026. The energy across the show was vibrant and optimistic, making it a truly inspiring way to begin the year.
I was especially thrilled to have been selected to exhibit as part of the Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) area. It was a real honour to be positioned among such talented Irish designers and makers, all showcasing the very best of Irish creativity and craftsmanship.
A Beautifully Successful Show
The show was a great success for my business. I connected with many wonderful buyers and was delighted to welcome lots of new, fantastic stockists on board — alongside strengthening relationships with existing ones. There is something so special about watching someone discover the collection for the first time, feeling the silk, hearing the story behind the artwork, and instantly connecting with it.
Each piece I exhibited began as one of my original floral paintings before being transformed into silk — expressive, colourful, and full of movement. Sharing that journey from canvas to wearable art resonated deeply with visitors to the stand.
The response to the new collection was incredibly encouraging. Buyers were drawn to the bold colour palettes, joyful florals, and the sense of optimism woven through the designs — exactly the feeling I hope each piece carries.
A National Spotlight Moment
One of the biggest highlights of the show was being featured on Nationwide — such a special moment to see my floral silk pieces showcased on national television and shared with viewers across Ireland.
It truly felt like a milestone for both me and my business, and a wonderful celebration of Irish design.
Trade shows are always busy, but this one left me feeling energised and excited for the year ahead. I’m so grateful to everyone who visited my stand, placed orders, and supported my work — I can’t wait to see my silk creations blooming in beautiful boutiques across Ireland and beyond.
